Our young and dynamic team is working hard to set new standards in the industry with pioneering solutions. We are looking for an experienced and committed Director Finance & Controlling (m/f/d) to join our team with immediate effect.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Financial management: You are responsible for the overall financial orientation, the entire finance and accounting system, including monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB and IFRS.
- Controlling: Preparation and monitoring of budget and financial plans as well as forecasts during the year, including reporting to shareholders.
- Investment controlling: management and monitoring of investments and subsidiaries.
- Business cases: Development and implementation of business cases to evaluate and support strategic projects.
- Startup financing: Development and implementation of financing strategies for our growing startup, including investor relations and fundraising.
- Company valuation: Carrying out company valuations and creating valuation models to support strategic decisions.
- Process optimization: Continuous optimization of finance and controlling processes and implementation of new tools and systems.
- Leadership skills: You will be an active part of the founding team and build effective controlling to ensure financial transparency and traceability, helping to increase productivity and make important growth decisions.
Qualifications / Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications and qualities:
- Several years of professional experience in a comparable position, ideally in a startup environment or the tech or innovation industry.
- Sound knowledge of financial management, investment valuation, M&A, investment controlling, business case preparation and company valuation.
- Startup mentality: Experience in building and financing a startup as well as a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities in this area.
- Excellent analytical skills, strategic thinking, strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
- Strong leadership skills to motivate and lead teams and achieve strategic goals.
- Confident handling of financial software and MS Office, especially Excel. Experience with ERP systems an advantage.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in German and English.
