Our solutions

A real revolution: our 3D concrete printer for standard concrete is changing the world of construction for good. The principle behind it is simple. Just like a 3D printer, it creates three-dimensional concrete structures layer by layer.

This method allows us to realize a planned building model more precisely and efficiently than would be possible with conventional methods. Using state-of-the-art BIM planning software, the contour to be printed is digitized and printed by the machine with millimeter precision. At the same time, the carbon footprint is improved and safety is increased.

Allow me: KARLOS

KARLOS is our revolutionary mobile 3D printer for standard concrete with a maximum grain size of 3/8" (8 mm). With a massive boom reach of 85 feet (26 m) and an unprecedented precision of a few millimeters, this robot sets new standards. Its unique technology makes it possible to create concrete walls efficiently and economically.

All without conventional formwork or the need for special concrete. As well as reducing health and safety risks, this speeds up your construction process. The proximity to conventional concrete logistics enables easy integration into proven construction site processes.

KARLOS works fully electrically and focuses on emission-free construction. This also means that even on the materials side, the use ofCO2-reduced concrete formulas can make an important
contribution to preserving our environment.

KARLOS also combines the flexibility of a mobile concrete pump with precise robot technology. This ensures shorter set-up times on the construction site and a highly automated, accelerated construction process - regardless of the location.

WE PRINT WALLS

Karlos produces plumbmonolithic walls with a precision to less than a 1/10". Time-consuming
shuttering and striking and
backfilling are now a thing of the past
.

FLEXIBLE IN USE

Thanks to its truck-mounted design,
Karlos is completely mobile and ready for use in less than an hourof set-up time. Stablized via
outriggers and capable of 26m (85 ft)
reach makes use possible even in cramped conditions on the construction site.

MATERIAL? CONCRETE!

The printing process utilizies
standard concrete as
printing material. This is not only
cost-effective, but can also be obtained
directly from ready-mix concrete plants
via established
infrastructure.

Innovation meets practicality - rethinking the future of construction

KARLOS, the innovative large-scale robot, is defining the future of building construction with its pioneering printing technology. With a massive boom with a reach of 85+ Feet (26 m) and an unprecedented precision of just a few millimeters, this robot sets a new benchmark in the construction industry.

The true magic of KARLOS lies in its ability to use the 85 foot long (26 m) boom as a large-capacity robot anywhere with unprecedented precision of just a few millimetres. Using state-of-the-art BIM planning software, the contour to be printed is digitized to the millimeter and printed by the machine with unparalleled precision.

This seamless transition from the digital design phase to physical implementation enables unprecedented accuracy and efficiency in the construction process. This means that not only the physical structure, but also all relevant data is captured and integrated digitally. This creates a digital twin of the building under construction, which is continuously updated with real-time data.

KARLOS not only revolutionizes the construction process, but also creates a bridge between the digital and physical worlds in the construction industry. The precision, efficiency and integration of technologies make this large-scale robot a key player in the evolution of the construction industry towards a digitalized, efficient and sustainable future.

Good reasons that speak for KARLOS

Karlo's solution & concept

KARLOS, the innovative large-scale robot, is nothing less than the future of construction. With our technology, we erect concrete walls efficiently and economically directly from the 3D printer. Our pioneering technology enables the rapid construction of concrete walls without conventional formwork - and with classic standard concrete.

The true magic of KARLOS lies in its ability to use the 85+ feet (26 m) robotic arm as a large-capacity robot with unprecedented precision of just a few millimetres anywhere. State-of-the-art, bidirectional BIM planning software is used to map the contour to be printed and print it based on the 3D planning.

KARLOS not only revolutionizes the construction process, but also creates a bridge between the digital and physical worlds in the construction industry. The precision, efficiency and integration of technologies make this large-scale robot a key player in the evolution of the construction industry towards a digitalized, efficient and sustainable future.

KARLOS combines the flexibility and robustness of a mobile concrete pump with precision placing robot technology, which reduces set-up times on the construction site and enables a highly automated construction process.

This advanced combination not only reduces manual labor and safety risks on site, but also significantly speeds up the construction process compared to conventional methods. Using our innovative control technology, the operator becomes the conductor of one of the largest construction site robots. In this way, we are creating a new, future-proof job profile. KARLOS significantly increases the productivity of the construction industry and ensures that construction projects are completed quickly, reliably and cost-effectively.

By using standard concrete with a maximum grain size of 3/8" (8 mm), which can be obtained from conventional ready-mix concrete plants, KARLOS offers enormous potential in terms of the cost-effectiveness of the manufacturing process, reducing costs by over 60% compared to other 3D printing processes.

The focus is also on sustainability: KARLOS works fully electrically and with low emissions on the construction site. This technology even enables the use of CO2-reduced concrete mixes, which makes an important contribution to environmental protection. With KARLOS, we are revolutionizing the construction of concrete walls - fast, efficient and environmentally friendly. In addition, precise digital planning and implementation increases material efficiency and reduces waste to a minimum. With 3D concrete printing, only the material that is actually needed is used and at the same time significant logistics costs are saved compared to traditional construction methods.

With Karlos, we are putting an end to folding and filing plans on the construction site. Instead, our approach is based on complete integration into digitalized BIM planning processes. Our digital planning approach is directly linked to the BIM building model and uses an intelligent software solution to generate the machine code.

The information generated during printing is then fed back into the overall BIM model. This creates a digital twin of the resulting building, which is continuously updated with real-time data. This means that information generated during printing can be made available to all process participants in the planning process.
